Biography

Lindy Stewart is an Assistant Professor in Information Technology and Health Informatics with industry, business and college level teaching experience. After graduating from Oregon Institute of Technology with a BS in Information Technology, Health Informatics Option, she earned a Master's of Science Degree in Computer Information Systems with a Concentration in Health Informatics from Boston University.

Upon observing the rapid changes in healthcare information technology, she became greatly interested in teaching college full-time in order to help others gain the knowledge and skills needed to obtain employment within the healthcare industry. Lindy enjoys teaching courses in database design and development, analytics and health informatics. Her approach is to provide a hands-on learning environment to enhance student growth, skills and confidence. Her interest in instructing for higher education institutions is due to her belief that education is the cornerstone to enhancing a person's knowledge and confidence which can increase individual and industry achievements which she believes ultimately can improve social and community welfare.
