Alumni Relations Manager

Oregon Tech is seeking applicants for an Alumni Relations Manager position in University Development. This is a 12-month, full-time position located on the Wilsonville, Oregon campus. Primary Responsibilities:

The Alumni Relations Manager is responsible for the implementation and execution of new and existing alumni and related student events, and communications, programs and services designed to foster a lifelong connection between students, alumni and the university, resulting in increased philanthropic support of the university. The Alumni Relations Manager partners with various university departments, and collaborates with industry and alumni to develop communications, programs, events, and volunteer opportunities which promote alumni leadership and advocacy in support of programming, fundraising, and industry outreach. The incumbent is responsible for developing and implementing extensive annual, quarterly and monthly plans both independently and in coordination with team members to effectively carry out plans and goals. The Alumni Relations Managers serves as staff liaison to the volunteer Alumni Advisory Board and must be able to communicate effectively and consistently with the Board.

Minimum Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communication, Public Relations or other relevant field of study.
  • One (1) - two (2) years’ alumni relations or development experience.

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Three (3) or more years’ alumni relations or development experience with increasing levels of responsibility. OR
  • Three (3) - five (5) years’ experience in marketing, public relations, communication or a related field with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Excellent written, oral communication skills and customer service experience.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
