Pat Schaeffer joins the Management Department at Oregon Tech with 22 years of leadership and consulting in high-tech, health insurance and health care industries. He has most recently held the positions of Global Materials Director and Director of Lean Six Sigma at Seagate Technology, Business Process Director at UnitedHealth, and Lean Six Sigma Consultant for Sutter Health. His diverse professional background formerly includes consulting to Sony, DuPont, Apple, PeaceHealth, Oregon Medical Labs and Sutter Health.
His career includes experience internationally in Singapore, Thailand, South Korea and with European affiliates. He holds BS and MS degrees, and is a Certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt with teaching interests in operations management, business performance improvement and business research methods. He has taught adjunct in the California and Oregon state university systems, and is currently a full-time Professor in the Department of Management at Oregon Tech in Klamath Falls.
When not teaching, Pat enjoys playing guitar and guitar performance in all genres of music.
