🎉 Happy National Surveyors Week! 🎉 Today we're spotlighting Austin Martin, a junior in Geomatics Austin chose Geomatics at Oregon Tech for the specialized classes in surveying along with hands-on experience from the labs. "Most Geomatics courses are taught by licensed land surveyors that have industry connections. Also, they have the longest-lasting Geomatics department with an emphasis on surveying in the nation." "I like that the Geomatics program is so heavily focused on surveying. I get to use total stations, LiDar, and GNSS equipment hands-on. I also love how we get taught in such depth about the math and theory behind the calculations we use for least squares adjustment, coordinate transformations, and geodesy. The program also prepared me for taking the FS exam extremely well. I was able to pass the FS exam at the end of my sophomore year." 🌟 #NationalSurveyorsWeek #OregonTech #GeomaticsProgram
