Transfer Student Scholarship

Scholarships specific to students transferring from a community college to a four-year college or university.

Jack Kent Cooke Scholarship

Eligibility: Outstanding community college students who demonstrate financial need, will to succeed and breadth of interest and activities. Applicants should demonstrate achievement and academic ability, desire to engage in and contribute to the world, self-confidence, and resilience.

James Bocchi Memorial Scholarship 
Due Date: February 9, 2024
Scholarship Amount: Varies

Eligibility This scholarship is available to non-first year college students attending and/or accepted into a nursing program at OHSU/OIT. Must have graduated from a Klamath County or Klamath Basin high school, public or private. A minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA is required.

Klamath Falls Elks Nurse’s and Health Careers Education Scholarship
Due Date: February 9, 2024

Scholarship Amount: Varies
Eligibility: This scholarship is open to students studying health related fields, with priority given to those accepted/attending the OHSU Nursing program.  Priority is also given to graduates of a Klamath County or Klamath Basin high school in any school, public or private. Must have a minimum 2.0 GPA.

Eligibility: This scholarship is available to intercollegiate student athletes enrolled in any health occupations program at Oregon Institute of Technology.

Dr. Ralph Waldo Stearns Scholarship
Due Date: February 9, 2024
Scholarship Amount: Varies

Eligibility:  Applicants must be in nursing education with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0. Must have completed high school and show satisfactory coursework in some of the following: physics, chemistry, math or general science. Priority will be given to graduates from a Klamath Basin high school, public or private.

Elks Valerie Murphy Memorial Scholarship
Due Date: February 9, 2024
Scholarship Amount: Varies

Eligibility:  This scholarship is open to students studying a health and/or science related field, with first consideration given to students serving in the military. Second consideration to students who have family serving or have served in the military. Third consideration given to high school seniors serving in the Civil Air Patrol (CAP). Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA.

Oregon Community Foundation (OCF) Scholarships 
Due Date: April 1, 2024 (most funds, see website for details) 
Scholarship Amount: Varies

Eligibility: OCF manages one of the largest scholarship programs of its kind in the country, awarding thousands of scholarships each year. Scholarships support a wide variety of majors, interests and passions. They have scholarships for graduates of specific high schools, current college students and even graduate students. Some scholarships support nontraditional students pursuing workforce retraining or higher education.
