A Little Bit About Me

My family helped set the foundation of my identity, and I’ve been able to build upon it into the person I am today. I am a happy, positive, and open-minded woman of color. I am the youngest of three, with two older brothers. I am fortunate enough to be raised in the same town with both sets of my grandparents. They were an essential part of my upbringing as they helped instill morals, respect, and a path filled with possibilities. I have been an athlete my whole life, which taps into my competitive nature. This has helped me deal with both success and failure, thus teaching me how to be mentally tough. I will bring these strengths and perspectives to Oregon Tech and look forward to collaborating with others to continue to grow as a person.

Why I Chose Oregon Tech and My Major

I chose Oregon Tech because attending a smaller school where you can develop a relationship with your professors and not just be another kid in their class, which was essential for me. When I toured, I heard nothing but positive things from everybody attending school there. I also wanted to continue my golf career, and Oregon Tech let me do so!

My Plans After Graduation

After I receive my degree, I hope to go into the medical field and explore my options to see what I love and what I want to study. I do know for a fact that I want to give back to my community and help others as my community has done so much for me.
