Stadium

Recently, Oregon Tech celebrated the unveiling of the new John and Lois Stilwell Softball Stadium. This million-dollar project was possible thanks to the vision and lead gift from the Stilwells, financial support from the university, as well as generous contributions from friends and family. Thanks to this spirit of giving, Oregon Tech Owls Softball now boasts one of the finest facilities in the country. The Stilwell Stadium features a new turf field and bullpens, wrap-around bleachers with a press box, improved walkways, and a new building for concessions, restrooms, and a (heated!) team room. The field enables the Lady Owls to play in all seasons — and if you know Klamath Falls — you know how important that is. Now, all we need are new lights!

The "Light it Up" Stilwell Stadium is a fundraising campaign that will provide the $250,000 to install new LED lights this winter and complete the final details of the stadium. A lighted stadium will directly benefit our program and give the Owls a chance to host NAIA regional playoff games (reducing travel expenses) this spring and in future years. Additional benefits include improved opportunities for summer youth camps, boosting the local economy (with teams traveling to Klamath Falls), and ultimately improving community engagement with a top-notch facility. We are pleased to share that $90,000 has already been secured, leaving $160,000 remaining to accomplish this important project.
