Oregon Tech Portland-Metro is excited to welcome the public to a VEX Robotics Competition on Saturday, Jan. 27, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The VEX Robotics Competition is the largest and fastest-growing middle school and high school robotics program globally. This event is organized by the Oregon Tech Robotics Competition Club. The competition brings together middle and high school teams from all over Oregon to compete in the VRC Over-Under challenge and be mentored by Oregon Tech students.

Business Management student Earl Van Order went on a spontaneous hike over the weekend in Klamath County and came across beautiful sights at Lake of the Woods. "We started our hike through deep snow at the Golden Meadows truck stop that connects to Lake of the Woods. After we got to Lake of the Woods, we then saw how beautiful the lake was when it was covered with ice, " Van Order said. During colder winters, Lake of the Woods freezes and has some of the best ice fishing in the U.S.
