About the Allied Health Program
Our program follows the National Center for Allied Health Model, which focuses on developing 28 core leadership competencies.
The culture of the Allied Health program is rooted in student wellbeing and making an impact on the wellbeing of others. Students attracted to this program have a passion for health and wellness and are ready to step up into leadership roles. The program is designed to create a practical path to pick up new skills, hone your strengths, and develop a project that is directly related to your current or future career.
Students learn first about who they are as leaders, along with developing their natural strengths so that they quickly become more effective in working with others individually or in groups. Through training in research, management, social determinants of health, and education, students leave our program with increased confidence, self-awareness and make an even greater impact in healthcare.

Application and Admission Processes
The Master of Allied Health (MSAH) seeks candidates with an interest in advancing or diversifying their career in a health-related field. The MSAH program attracts both professionals and recent graduates who are highly motivated and are prepared for the time commitment and academic rigor of a graduate program. To be selected for the MSAH, applicants will submit a personal statement of interest, academic transcripts, resume, and professional recommendation letters. Candidates that meet admissions requirements will participate in a pre-interview to ensure the program is the right fit for their long-term goals and interests.

Application Materials
Applicants to the Master of Allied Health (MSAH) program at Oregon Tech shall provide the following:
- Bachelor’s Degree:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year institution in allied health, social science, health administration, or related field - Transcripts/GPA:
Overall undergraduate GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale and 3.0 for the last 90 quarter credits (60 semester) credits of coursework. - Personal Statement:
Applicants will be required to write a statement that addresses career goals and relevance to the program, evidence of aptitude for graduate work and evidence of potential for success in the field. (How to Write a Personal Statement) - Reference Letters:
Applicants to the program will be required to provide three letters of reference (at least one academic and one professional) that address the applicant’s preparation, abilities, and character. Letters from family or friends are not considered. - Notice of Potential Background Check:
As part of the MSAH program, students complete a capstone project. Applicants are expected to be aware that some study sites, which are
chosen by each student, may require a background check. - Interview:
Applicants will participate in an interview in the presence of at least one member of the admissions committee. The interview will cover how the applicant's background, current role, and future goals align with the MSAH program. - Academic Standing:

- Submit your graduate application and $50 non-refundable application fee at https://www.oit.edu/apply
- Submit a current background check (the link is in the Eligibility Verification).
- Request official transcripts from all regionally accredited colleges and universities attended.
- Upload a personal statement that addresses your career goals and relevance to the program, evidence of aptitude for graduate work and evidence of a potential for success in the field.
- Request three reference letters that address your academic preparation and professional abilities. These letters may be uploaded to your application by each author.
Oregon Tech may grant conditional admission to candidates not meeting all of the minimum requirements. Your application will not be considered for admission until all required items are received.
