Transfer Credit Evaluation Process
Admitted undergraduate students have a transfer evaluation done after admission. When this review process begins, you will receive an email from our Registrar’s office notifying you that part, or possibly all, of your evaluation has been completed. Once you receive this email, you will be able to log in to Web for Student, as instructed below, to see the evaluation. You will need your student ID number to log into your Web for Student account.
The Online Office works as quickly as possible to complete evaluations. Once we have all your records, your evaluation may take a few days, or possibly a few weeks, depending on your number of transfer credits and the number of student records currently being evaluated. Our office will contact you when your evaluation is complete.
How to Access Your Account and Evaluation
- Go to www.oit.edu/login, and click on “Web for Student”
- If you don't remember your PIN or need to reset it, please contact the Registrar's office at 541.885.1300
- Once you are in your Web for Student account, go to Student Menu > Student Records > Transfer Credit Eval Report. You will be able to view the evaluation. Please Note: This may not be complete, so it is good to check the status regularly.
"No equivalency" next to a course title does not necessarily indicate that the course will not transfer to Oregon Tech. Courses with this notation are currently being researched to determine equivalency. Changes to the transfer evaluation will be made once the course equivalencies are determined. Check your evaluation regularly until all your courses and transcripts have been fully evaluated.
If you have any questions, please let our office know (866.497.0008). It is very helpful if you can provide your Student ID number when you call so that we can provide more efficient service. Thank you for your patience.
