Oregon Tech TRIO program receives $1.47 million in federal funding to support first-generation students, low-income students, and students with disabilities

Oregon Tech’s TRIO Student Support Services has been awarded $1.47 million in competitive grant funding through the U.S. Department of Education. The goal of the program is to increase the college retention and graduation rates of its participants, who include students from low-income families, first-generation students, and students with disabilities. Beginning in September of this year, Oregon Tech will receive $294,380 annually for the next five years to fund the TRIO program.

Two Oregon Tech Engineering Students Receive Scholarships to Attend World’s Largest Gathering of Women in Technology

Pursuing engineering degrees at Oregon Tech, Rowan Parker and Rianna Delgado have received scholarships to attend the Grace Hopper Celebration, which brings the research and career interests of women in computing to the forefront. Parker and Delgado are both studying Software Engineering Technology.
