Transfer Student Scholarship

Scholarships specific to students transferring from a community college to a four-year college or university.

Jack Kent Cooke Scholarship

Scholarship Amount: Varies
Eligibility: Outstanding community college students who demonstrate financial need, will to succeed and breadth of interest and activities. Applicants should demonstrate achievement and academic ability, desire to engage in and contribute to the world, self-confidence, and resilience.

Local Scholarship Opportunities

Scholarships specific to students who are residences of Klamath County or other Southern Oregon counties. Or awards specific to Oregon Tech students.

Soroptimist Live Your Dream Awards 
Due Date: November 15, 2024
Scholarship Amount: Up to $5,000 (multiple awards) 
Eligibility: Awarded to a woman with primary financial responsibility for supporting dependents. Dependents can include children, spouse, partner, siblings and/or parents. Must be attending or accepted to a vocational/skills training program or an undergraduate degree program, have financial need and be motivated to achieve her educational and career goals. Must attend the Klamath Falls campus. Several awards will be given at the local level for a sum total of $10,000. Applicants may then be considered at regional and federal levels for additional awards.

General Scholarship Opportunities

Below is a listing of scholarships opportunities for new or current Oregon Tech students. The scholarships are listed by due date.

 

Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS) Scholarships
Due Date: January 7, 2025
Scholarship Amount: $2,500-5,000 (amount and number of awards varies)
Eligibility: Open to women with a 3.0 GPA or higher. Currently enrolled in an Oregon or SW Washington (Cowlitz, Clark, Lewis, Pacific, Skamania, or Wahkiakum counties) junior college/trade school program, undergraduate or graduate degree program in a transportation-related field such as transportation engineering, planning, finance, communications, business management, or logistics with a focus on public policy.

Oregon Community Foundation (OCF) Scholarships 
Due Date: April 1, 2025
Scholarship Amount: Varies
Eligibility: OCF administers over 500 scholarships that support a variety of students across all backgrounds, majors, hometowns, interests, and levels of financial need. OCF is committed to supporting equitable access to higher education for all students.
