Matches & Challenges

See below for the exciting opportunities that you have to double your impact and compete against others to raise the most for your Oregon Tech passion! Additional matches are subject to be added prior to Give A Hoot Day.

Golden Power Hours

A matching pool minimum of $5,000 (cap match of $500 per donation) will be released at the top of the hour! There will be golden power hours at the following times: on April 9th at midnight (12:01am), 8am, 12pm, 6pm, and on April 10th at 7am.

Power Hours

A matching pool minimum of $1,000 (cap match of $250 per donation) will be released at the top of the hour! On April 9th, there will be power hours from 6am - 5pm.

Hidden Hootie

On April 9th, stuffed owls will be hidden around the Klamath Falls (5) and on Portland-Metro (3) campuses. Follow @oregon_tech on Instagram stories with clues on where they are hidden to redeem $100 to your favorite cause!

Hoot For A Cause

For this special presidents challenge, all funds will be competing for the most donors (+$1000) or most money raised (+$500) across key areas: academics, scholarships, athletics, and student support.

Hootie's Tech Time Machine

Get ready to go back in time & share one of your favorite Oregon Tech memories. More information on how to enter will be posted on the @oregon_tech Instagram account on April 9th.

Night Owl

The first donation (12:01am on April 9th) gets an additional $500 to the fund that was donated to.

Procrastinator

The last donation (11:59pm on April 10th) gets an additional $500 to the fund that was donated to.

Lunch Rush

The fund with the most donations from 12pm - 1pm on April 9th gets an additional $500 to the fund that was donated to the most.

Match Policy

Thank you for your generous support during Give A Hoot Day! We are excited to offer a matching gift opportunity to help maximize the impact of your donation. Please note the following important details regarding our matching program:

• Matching Funds Availability: Matching funds are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis as long as funds are available. We cannot guarantee that every donation will be matched.
• Matching Period: Matching funds will be released during specific hours throughout the 36-hours starting April 9th at 12:01am and ending April 10th at 12pm.
• Donation Limits: Matching funds will be subject to a $1000 total match cap per donor.

Klamath Falls

• Come to the College Union on campus to connect with students, faculty, staff, and the Foundation team. Try to win a prize, have fun with the community, and cheer on students throughout the day!
• Stop by Dutch Bros in Klamath Falls all day on April 9th, and $1/drink will be donated back to Oregon Tech! You may even catch a glimpse of Hootie...

Portland-Metro

• Come to campus to connect with students, faculty, staff, and the Foundation team. Try to win a prize, have fun with the community, and cheer on students throughout the day!
