This Monday, January 16th, Oregon Tech will be closed in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The Reverend Doctor Martin Luther King Jr. (1929-1968) was one of many, many real influential people who have fought and continue the fight for racial justice and equity in our country. As much as we struggle to concoct a caption that dignifies his life’s work, the truth is Dr. King’s legacy cannot be summed up in digestible textbook quotes or cartoon photos alone. We highly encourage you to research and remember ( for more, read: https://www.damemagazine.com/2022/01/17/who-remembers-the-real-martin-luther-king-jr/ ) In order to celebrate his contributions, our campus will be hosting a week of service to help benefit those in our community with the following activities: ✊🏿Tuesday, January 17th 12:00pm - 1:30pm Listen and Learn Event in The Treehouse Wednesday, January 18th ✊🏿Hootie’s Meal in a Bag 1:00pm - 2:30pm in front of the bookstore ✊🏿Movie Night "Selma" 6:00pm - 8:00pm in the Treehouse ✊🏿Thursday, January 19th 11:30am -1:00pm Stop and Serve: Winter Kits CU 2nd floor (Shasta Lounge)
