KLAMATH FALLS, OR –The Oregon Tech Foundation is pleased to announce the Running Y Ranch as title sponsor for the 2015 Oregon Tech Alumni and Student Awards Banquet, slated for June 12th on the Oregon Tech Campus in Klamath Falls. Oregon Tech’s Alumni and Student Awards Banquet is held annually in conjunction with the Golden Owl Reunion and commencement exercises and is one of the largest attended events on the Klamath Falls campus with attendees coming from across the nation.

Newly hired Running Y General Manager George Rogers said, “We saw this as an opportunity to partner with Oregon Tech, and encourage great students. We hire Oregon Tech students, they make great employees and we have a relationship with the young men and women on the Oregon Tech golf teams.” Rogers, who is originally from Lakeview, is excited that The Running Y can offer this support. “The sponsorship of this event is a natural fit for us, Oregon Tech students exemplify leadership and innovation, we are proud to come alongside dedicated individuals such as these,” said Rogers.

Not only is The Running Y Ranch the host course for the Oregon Tech men’s and women’s golf teams, the William D. Lynch Foundation, founded by the new managing partner of the Running Y, recently announced they will match homeowner donations to their Oregon Tech scholarship. The William D. Lynch Foundation committed $6,500 in support of the Running Y Scholarship at Oregon Institute of Technology to match the funds raised by homeowners at the Running Y Ranch in 2014. They have already committed up to $10,000 to match next year’s scholarship. “We are very impressed with Oregon Tech and the incredible success rate of their graduates,” said Mr. Lynch.

The partnership between The Running Y and Oregon Tech will allow the university to recognize the outstanding achievements of our students and alumni this year. “The Running Y Ranch and Mr. and Mrs. Lynch continue to display their commitment to the vitality of the entire Klamath Falls community,” said Tracy Ricketts, Oregon Tech Vice President for Development and Alumni Relations. She went on to say, “The support of The Running Y to the community and Oregon Tech is a tremendous benefit. Mr. and Mrs. Lynch have demonstrated their own philanthropic assiduity by making a difference in our community from the beginning of their ownership of the Running Y.”
