Following the Oregon/NASA Space Grant from February, the South Metro-Salem STEM Partnership has expanded their partnerships to reach a wider area of students.
Made up of 15 Oregon school districts, and serving a total of 120,000 students, the South Metro-Salem STEM Partnership includes six post-secondary institutions and 20 businesses and community organizations.
The Salem STEM hub has three initiatives:
- providing professional development for teachers;
- connecting organizations and schools through an online network;
- bringing more college-level courses to high schools
