The deadline is approaching for Oregon Tech Foundation (OTF) and the state's Office of Student Access and Completion (OSAC) scholarship applications. Current students, transfer students planning on continuing their education at Oregon Tech, as well as college-bound high schoolers must submit application materials by March 2, 2020 for the 2020-21 academic year.
The OTF currently provides 325 scholarships to deserving Oregon Tech students, awarding a total of over $900,000 annually; and span a diverse range of educational pursuits, student credentials and backgrounds. Scholarship awards are based on a variety of criteria including academic performance and financial need. Many are tailored to provide support to students who need it most; while others are designed to support students who excel in certain fields of study.
The deadline for the OTF is March 2, 2020 at 5 p.m. Information, applications and FAQs, can be found at www.oit.edu and selecting “Scholarships” under the College Costs dropdown menu.
Students seeking private and state-funded scholarships for the 2020-21 academic year must apply with Oregon’s OSAC by March 2 by filling out the application at OregonStudentAid.gov, which has a yearly pool of over $112 million.
There is no cost to apply for Oregon Tech Foundation scholarships. Students can also apply for as many as 40 of the 600 privately-funded scholarships available at OSAC at no cost– though most require the applying student to be an Oregon resident. The Office of Student Access and Completion is part of Oregon’s Higher Education Coordinating Commission.
