Working with the Oregon Tech Sponsored Projects & Grants office, Dr. Saber’s work to obtain grant funding has allowed additional research opportunities and applied student project development in the Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering and Technology program.

Dr. Riley’s appointment begins immediately, refereeing three to six papers each year, reviewing up to three per year, and coordinating with the editorial board

Oregon Tech’s steel bridge team placed second overall, giving them a spot at the national competition to be held May 31 and June 1 at Southern Illinois University Carbondale

Spending the weeks up until the national competition practicing, the Oregon Tech team members earned a fourth place finish in both the construction speed and construction economy (speed/weight) categories. Overall, the team placed 19th out of 41 teams.

As a nod to his alma mater, Mr. Rossi has honored Oregon Tech with a $50,000 gift to the Foundational Campaign for the Future– symbolic of his company’s 50th anniversary

Kayla de Hoop, BS/MS candidate in civil engineering, received a scholarship designed to promote the advancement of the transportation profession by providing financial assistance to students pursuing degrees in transportation engineering or other related fields

Project Owl is a hands-on learning and technical training kit designed to encourage middle school and high school students to pursue STEM majors and careers in engineering, taking a cross-disciplinary approach by integrating computer science, computer engineering and electrical engineering
