Mid-way through a students' college career, the learning pathways converge on the ESSE – the Essential Studies Synthesis Experience – in which students work in teams to explore problems that cross disciplinary boundaries. (3 credits total).
Capstone Experience - Senior Project, Externship
Complete a capstone experience defined by their academic program
Typically during the final year, students complete a capstone experience in their major – a senior project, externship, or other work – that integrates and asks them to apply their skills developed in the Essential Studies program with their technical preparation in their major. (no specific credit requirement; courses specified by programs).
