Service Projects
Klamath Falls students have the chance to volunteer at a variety of community service projects throughout the year. Come out and show your OWL colors with support to local community organizations! A free t-shirt and lunch will be provided to participants back on campus following the completion of projects.
Ongoing Opportunities to Serve
Klamath Falls and the Portland-Metro area have vibrant nonprofit and volunteering communities. Local organizations are always seeking students to be active members and volunteers. SIB recommends that students explore various volunteer platforms to connect with these organizations. They can also contact us to get support finding one that meets their interests.
Alternative Break Service Trips
Spring Break- Students participate in a week long community service adventure in a different location. Our first trip was Spring 2013, when we traveled to Sisters, Oregon and assisted in a remodeling project for a veteran. Each year that a service trip is offered, the SIB staff finds a destination with volunteer opportunities to discover so students can find new ways to use their skills and interests to serve their communities.
