Service Projects
Students on the Klamath Falls campus can volunteer throughout the year in a variety of service projects that support our local community. Some past service events include campus beautification, volunteering at local 501(c)(3) nonprofits, and assembling clothing and hygiene kits for those in need. These projects are a great way to give back, connect with others, and show your OWL pride. Participants receive a free t-shirt after completing a project—our way of saying thanks for making a difference!
Ongoing Service Opportunities
Klamath Falls and the Portland-Metro area have vibrant nonprofit and volunteering communities. Local organizations are always seeking students to be active members and volunteers. SIB recommends that students explore various volunteer platforms to connect with these organizations. They can also contact us to get support finding one that meets their interests.
MLK Week of Service
Oregon Tech’s MLK Week of Service honors Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy through a week-long initiative focused on giving back. Students, faculty, and staff are invited to participate in service projects that support our campus and local community. From food drives to environmental cleanups, each act of service reflects Dr. King’s belief that “anybody can serve.” This week is a powerful reminder of the impact we can make when we come together with purpose and compassion. Join us in celebrating his legacy by serving others and helping build a dream worthy future.
