Two Oregon Tech Engineering Students Receive Scholarships to Attend World’s Largest Gathering of Women in Technology

Pursuing engineering degrees at Oregon Tech, Rowan Parker and Rianna Delgado have received scholarships to attend the Grace Hopper Celebration, which brings the research and career interests of women in computing to the forefront. Parker and Delgado are both studying Software Engineering Technology.

Oregon Tech Board of Trustees approve $3.5 million in budget cuts and reallocations to meet impacts of COVID-19

Oregon Tech receives approximately 40 percent of its budget from the state; thus, the financial health of the university and the state are intricately linked. The state has estimated that it will take at least four years to get back to pre-COVID employment levels, and up to a decade of structural deficits.

Oregon Tech plans early start for on-campus teaching when students return in fall 2020

The University plans to begin in-person fall classes on September 21, a week earlier than originally scheduled. Resumption of in-person teaching will be guided by Governor Brown’s staging plan for the state to reopen higher education institutions across Oregon; as well as guidance received from state health, education and other officials.
