Each year, graduating students from Oregon Tech are selected to represent their college of study as commencement speakers at the annual ceremony. A five-year contract was agreed between Oregon Tech and its Faculty Union early Tuesday morning (May 4, 2021). Both parties came to terms after 1 year, 4 months and 28 days of negotiations. Inaugural contracts are known to take a very long time to come to fruition, and these negotiations vastly occurred during a global pandemic.
