Oregon Tech's Geomatics program has received a 2026 National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) Surveying Education Award, along with a $10,000 award to support student success. This national recognition reflects the program's commitment to preparing the next generation of licensed land surveyors and geospatial professionals through a combination of classroom learning, field experience, and industry engagement. The award funding will expand opportunities for students to connect with licensed surveyors, alumni, and industry leaders through conferences, guest speakers, field demonstrations, workshops, and networking events. It will also strengthen hands-on learning that combines surveying principles with geospatial technology, helping students build the knowledge and experience needed for the profession.
