A team of Oregon Tech representatives attended the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) annual international conference held in Portland at the end of June. The event is an opportunity to share individual and collective work in engineering education.
Oregon Tech co-sponsored the event and hosted an exhibition booth showcasing the university’s College of Engineering, Technology, and Management (ETM). The booth also featured the Oregon Manufacturing and Innovation Center (OMIC), a collaborative partnership located in Scappoose, Ore., in a facility owned and administered by Oregon Tech.
Oregon Tech representatives who organized and supported the booth include:
- Neslihan Alp, Co-Lead Organizer, Dean of the College of ETM
- Abdy Afjeh, Vice Provost of Research and Academic Affairs
- Jacen Bridges, Director of Alumni Relations
- Jon Elias, Director of Marketing and Communications at OMIC
- Ken Fincher, Vice President of University Advancement
- Aaron Georis, Regional Admissions Counselor
- Don Hendrickson, Executive Director of OMIC
- Josie Hudspeth, Assistant Dean of Students
- Nagi Naganathan, President
- Lara Pracht, Director of Academic Affairs
- Elizabeth Stovall, Co-Lead Organizer, Director of Career Services
- Mira Wonderwheel, Executive Director of Development
“It was a great collaboration of the College of ETM, Student Affairs, University Advancement, Admissions, and OMIC,” said Dr. Alp. “We had a very active booth with many people interested in our job opportunities and program offerings. This sponsorship gave Oregon Tech immense visibility throughout the conference, including in the opening remarks, on banners, and at other locations in the exhibit hall, to more than 5,000 individual participants and 500 university participants.”
