KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – A new ranking out from Business Insider takes a look at return on investment at colleges and universities in the U.S. which also offer degrees online and places Oregon Institute of Technology, “Oregon Tech,” alumni at #9 of the highest earning graduates in the nation.
Using program data including available degrees, tuition rates, and details about program coursework, the college ranking service, Optimal, collected information from official school websites, reflecting data for the 2019-2020 school year. By finding median mid-career alumni salaries from Payscale and comparing those with the yearly tuition rates, Optimal built a list of the online colleges that offer the best median mid-career salaries for the lowest tuition fees.
Business Insider states: As more conventional university programs shift to virtual settings and students consider the job prospects that await them in the pandemic-era economy, the financial return that a college degree can ensure is becoming increasingly important. And conventional expectations of what the college experience should include have also begun to shift — especially since colleges like UNC have struggled to make physical reopening safe and feasible.
It may be a wise decision right now for prospective college students to look into online colleges that boast high salaries. By finding median mid-career alumni salaries from Payscale and comparing those with the yearly tuition rates, Optimal built a list of the online colleges that offer the best median mid-career salaries for the lowest tuition fees.
