When it comes to measuring education quality, affordability, and career outcomes, Oregon Institute of Technology’s (Oregon Tech) Online Education program ranks first among Oregon colleges and universities according to a study compiled by BestColleges.com.

BestColleges’ 2017 rankings reflect the most recent data available from the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) and College Navigator, both of which are hosted by the National Center for Education Statistics. They used statistical data and a few consistently applied guiding principles, including academic quality, affordability, and online competency to objectively assess relative quality based on academic outcomes, affordability, and the breadth and depth of online learning opportunities. Oregon Tech is also ranked as a top public university in Oregon by BestColleges.

According to BestColleges, each school must be an accredited public or private, not-for-profit institution and offer at least one online bachelor’s degree program. Oregon Tech Online currently offers degree completion programs; certificates; associates, bachelors, and masters degree programs; digital badges, and other specializations. New degrees are being added each year based on emerging trends in higher education needs, such as the Master of Science in Engineering now accepting applications for Fall 2017.
