Extracurricular Activities
In my free time, I enjoy doing things such as golfing, photography, swimming, skiing, and traveling. On occasion, I have also been known to LOVE skydiving. I have been 3 times and definitely plan on going again.
A Little Bit About Me
I grew up in a small town in Oregon called Sweet Home. I graduated high school in 2020 and immediately came to Oregon Tech to pursue my degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography. It has always been my dream to work in the medical field, and in less than a year, it will finally come true.
Why I Chose Oregon Tech and My Major
I chose DMS because I have always wanted to go into the medical field so that I could help people. Sonography interested me because of how hands-on it is. I love that I get to help people daily and make a difference in their lives. It's like being a professional photographer that helps save people's lives. I chose Oregon Tech because it is the fourth-best school in the country for diagnostic medical sonography!
My Influential Professors
Robyn Cole and Bobbi Kowash have been the most influential professors to me at Oregon Tech. They give real-world advice as well as being amazing teachers in the classroom. I am very thankful for them.
My Greatest Learning Experience At Oregon Tech
My greatest learning experience while I was at Oregon Tech was when I was in the hospital in the middle of my junior year of college. I was out of school for 2 1/2 weeks. When I came back it was incredibly hard, but people were there for me which helped tremendously. This situation taught me that if I am determined enough, I can do anything. I was very behind in my studies, but with some hard work and determination, I caught back up.
My Plans After Graduation
I plan to stay, live, and work in Oregon after I graduate in June 2024. I will mainly be looking for work in the Willamette Valley. I am excited to be able to give back to my own community after I graduate college.
