A Little Bit About Me

I was born in the Philippines and spent my first 7 years there, however, my dad moved to the US and my family decided to move with him. When I came over to the States it was quite challenging to adjust to the culture and way of life. What made it worse is that all my relatives were not here and I had no one to really talk to. I spent many of my school years as the quiet person until around my middle school where I would meet lifelong friends. High school was a time when I figured out what I wanted to do in life. I was always into technology and discovered a club for competitive robotics. This club was what convinced me to be a mechanical engineer.

Why I Chose Oregon Tech and My Major

I chose to be a Mechanical Engineer at Oregon Tech because I love technology and designing mechanisms. Oregon Tech was my best bet for realizing this degree because of the facilities they provide and how affordable they are compared to other universities.

My Influential Professors

As an upcoming freshman the most influential teachers to me were my robotics and physics teachers. I loved the idea of automation and robotics and found out that Mazama High School has a robotics club. I jumped in immediately and met the person running the show. This person gave me a gateway to the things I loved and allowed me to further my skills and knowledge. The same could be said for my physics teacher who changed my mindset on how anything works in this world.

My Plans After Graduation

I plan to secure a job pertaining to my degree as soon as possible so that I will be financially stable and start to build my wealth. I will continue to pursue excellence and whatever I take on.
