Oregon’s Polytechnic University

“I chose Oregon Tech because of its strong reputation for hands on learning, practical experience, and dedicated faculty. The program’s focus on preparing students for real world careers aligns with my goal of becoming a nurse.”

“I am really starting to feel as though the things I am learning have the potential to make a difference and a positive impact on the world. I feel like I can start to work like a professional software developer, and I am excited to start working on my senior project as I plan to develop a business software system for a local non-profit, the World Forestry Center.”

“I heard that comparison is the thief of joy, but I didn’t understand it until college. Among students, comparing grades and test scores is normal. While I recognize the reassurance it might bring, I’ve also realized it’s an incomplete picture of someone’s effort or potential. Everyone’s journey is shaped uniquely—some grades come from stable environments, others from sleepless nights. Regardless, we all aim for growth, and the journey and the mistakes we make along the way are the best experiences one can get in life.”
