Oregon Tech’s student project symposium is a sight to behold. From custom video games to innovative medical equipment, there was student-created technology of all kinds on display Thursday, June 2 at the Wilsonville campus.

In the months following the state's deadliest mass shooting in modern times, Oregon Institute of Technology President Chris Maples quietly set up a new scholarship program. Starting this fall, OIT will waive tuition for any Umpqua Community College student who was in one of four classes in Snyder Hall on Oct. 1 when a gunman killed 10 people, including himself, and wounded 8 others.

The following students have been named to the 2015-2016 Spring Term President's and Dean's Lists

Mr. Brian Fox announced as the next Vice President for Finance and Administration at Oregon Tech and will begin working at Oregon Tech in late July 2016.

The Board of Trustees approve budgets, review new and innovative programs including the Rural Health Initiative, and learn more about internal projects planned and underway

Oregon Tech is somewhat unique from other universities in that its graduates typically fare favorably in the working world post-graduation. The university prides itself on building relationships with local tech companies, and provides many programs that allow students to intern and work alongside respected companies such as Intel and in Gerkensmeyer’s case, Boeing.

Interim President Dr. Jay Kenton has exciting plans for growth at Oregon Tech and plans to place the university in the best possible position for an incoming president.
