Veteran Benefits
There are a variety of Veteran benefits available to Oregon Tech students. Listed below are two programs and information about how to obtain these funds.
Veterans’ Dependent Tuition Waiver
This benefit provides a full tuition waiver for a bachelor’s or master’s degree for Oregon residents at a public Oregon institution for a child or spouse of a member of the United States Armed Forces who either died in active duty, became 100% disabled in connection with military service, or died as a result of a disability sustained in active duty after September 11, 2001.
Voyager Aid Program for Oregon National Guard and Reserves
Voyager is a financial aid benefit that is available to honor and support Oregon residents who served the nation as members of the National Guard or Reserves in an active duty capacity in a combat zone since September 11, 2001.
View the eligibility information, instructions, and application for both programs on this page. For information regarding Oregon Tech specific benefits, please contact the appropriate Oregon Tech Veteran Certifying Official.
Note: Late fees and interest will be charged to all student accounts (including students receiving financial aid and/or VA benefits) with unpaid balances after the payment due date (end of the second week of the term). However, late fees do not apply to students on a payment plan who make all payments by the payment plan due dates. For payment plan due dates, see the Cashier's Calendar here. In the case of a student receiving VA benefits who has paid all non-VA covered charges by the payment due date (end of the second week of the term), the late fee and interest will be removed once payment that clears the balance is received as long as the certification deadline (end of the second week of the term) was met. Contact the Cashier’s Office at cashier@oit.edu for help calculating amounts that will not be covered by the VA (please include which VA benefits you are expecting to receive).
