Robert Graham
In memory of longtime board member Robert Graham, M.D., Klamath Medical Service Bureau (KMSB) Foundation has made a $100,000 contribution to Oregon Institute of Technology’s allied health programs. This generous gift gives a boost to the Foundational Campaign for the Future, and will aid Oregon Tech in meeting critical equipment needs in allied health. The applied, hands-on educational experiences which make Oregon Tech graduates highly sought after in the workforce are not possible without investment in state-of-the-art equipment and cutting-edge technology.

Dr. Robert W. Graham, ophthalmologist and a longtime resident of Klamath Falls died suddenly on Sept. 28, 2018, in Klamath Falls, Oregon, at 87 years old. He graduated from Walla Walla College followed by Loma Linda University where he obtained a medical degree, moving to Klamath Falls in 1961 to join Dr. Frank Johnson in his ophthalmology practice, where he continued to practice for 57 years, and had the pleasure of working alongside his daughter Dr. Teresa Graham for the last 23 years. He also contributed to the community by holding many stop-smoking clinics, served as chief of staff and on the hospital bylaws committee, and the KMSB board.

“We are deeply appreciative of the generosity and longtime support of KMSB Foundation, and their investment in Oregon Tech students and allied health programs,” said Oregon Tech president, Dr. Naganathan. “Their commitment to better equipping the healthcare providers of tomorrow is commendable. With support from invested community partners such as the KMSB Foundation, we will continue to advance academic excellence, meet the evolving needs of industry, and assure a pipeline of distinctive, career-ready professionals like Dr. Graham.”

In honor of KMSB’s contribution and Dr. Graham’s extensive commitment to the Klamath Falls medical community, Oregon Tech is proud to announce the naming of a laboratory in Dr. Graham’s name, in the Martha Anne Dow Center for Health Professions at Oregon Tech. Students will greatly benefit from enhanced learning opportunities in the Dr. Graham CT/MRI Simulator Lab.

With the $4 million Foundational Campaign for the Future, Oregon Tech is making strategic investments in programs, projects and people aimed at increasing enrollment by 1,000 students over a five-year period.
