A Little Bit About Me
My mother was an accountant, my father was an automotive tech, and I definitely inherited that math-loving mind with a serious drive for gadget-tinkering and 'making stuff work.' I've entertained hobbies from building little robots to programming and running online game servers for MMOs. I also love working on my 4Runner (which I still have, and my father taught me to drive in) and helping others with their vehicles! Sadly, I've lost nearly all my family; but my brother and uncle and I maintain a close relationship. Without them, I would never have been able to make it back to school. Thus, I would also like to extend a very well-earned thank you to both of them! Their support has been immeasurable.
Why I Chose Oregon Tech and My Major
I've been intensely fascinated with electronics, software, robotics, programming, engineering, and mathematics for as long as I can remember. Like many great engineers of our past and present, I have a great love for tinkering and making things work. I chose Oregon Tech because I am confident in its ability to cultivate and grow my love for Electrical Engineering.
My Greatest Learning Experience At Oregon Tech
Concerning unique qualities, I've experienced many trials and tribulations in my time, well before most normally would have. This has given me a unique perspective on life, allowing me to take a different approach that others might not. With these additional life experiences and wisdom acquired, I will be able to apply a much more laser-like focus to my studies and success at Oregon Tech than I would've otherwise been able to just out of high school.
My Plans After Graduation
One of my dreams is to use my knowledge of electrical engineering to advance and better human lives. After graduation, I plan to find myself on a team advancing electronics and electrical engineering to heights never before seen by humankind. I plan to make much of what is now only science fiction a reality, and have no doubt that during my career, we humans will see dramatic advancement in the fields of electronics and electronics engineering!
