A Little Bit About Me

I was born and raised in Oregon City and went to high school in Canby, a small town nearby. I enjoy everything about sports and played multiple of them from childhood through high school. Family is something that I strongly value and I am very close with mine and spend a lot of my time with them. I also love the outdoors and things like camping, fishing, and going to lakes and beaches. I am a Christian and a member of Prince of Life Lutheran Church in Oregon City. Believing in Jesus is a big part of my life, and I hope to share my faith with the people around me. I am super excited for my next steps at Oregon Tech and can’t wait to see what the next four years hold.

Why I Chose Oregon Tech and My Major

I hope that this degree will build a solid foundation for a career that will foster those interests in the future.

My Influential Professors

One of my most influential teachers in high school was my biology teacher, Mr. Ensrud. Biology was my favorite class and while it was a favorite subject of mine, I think I enjoyed the class so much because of him. He filled the class with lots of engaging labs and assignments and I could tell how much he enjoyed teaching the subject. It was nice to learn from someone who was genuinely interested in the topics he was teaching and enjoyed learning new things, too.

My Greatest Learning Experience At Oregon Tech

Going into high school I decided to switch districts and go to school in a different town, which was a tough decision for me at the time. I was already nervous about high school, and I was going to one where I didn’t know anyone. While it seemed like the worst thing in the world then, now I look back and recognize the incredible learning experience it was for me. I forced myself out of my comfort zone, met new people, and found great success. Approaching my college transition, I hope it will be a great learning experience, too.

My Plans After Graduation

As of now, after graduating I plan to go into the medical field. While I am not totally sure what area, I have always had an interest in the field. I have considered things such EMT or paramedic work, nursing, and possible graduate programs. My overall goal is to find a successful career in which I can help people.
