Student Stories
Class of 2029
“From a young age, I’ve been interested in the land and outdoors. Whether metal detecting or building traps at my grandma’s in Montana, being outside brings me joy. I’ve always wanted a career outdoors, not at a desk. My brother, a Civil Engineering grad from Oregon Tech, inspired my path. ”
Class of 2026
“I am really starting to feel as though the things I am learning have the potential to make a difference and a positive impact on the world. I feel like I can start to work like a professional software developer, and I am excited to start working on my senior project as I plan to develop a business software system for a local non-profit, the World Forestry Center.”
Class of 2028
“My greatest learning experience at Oregon Tech so far has been hiking behind the school with my best friend. As weird as it sounds, we almost learn more outside of class by simply observing natural systems and asking ecological questions.”
