I have always been a part of team sports and with that I have been able to listen and take in others ideas and put them towards the end goals.”

“I heard that comparison is the thief of joy, but I didn’t understand it until college. Among students, comparing grades and test scores is normal. While I recognize the reassurance it might bring, I’ve also realized it’s an incomplete picture of someone’s effort or potential. Everyone’s journey is shaped uniquely—some grades come from stable environments, others from sleepless nights. Regardless, we all aim for growth, and the journey and the mistakes we make along the way are the best experiences one can get in life.”

“I would say that the most influential has been Professor Chavarin though. She does outreach as her main job, which is what I want to eventually do as my long-term goal. Along with that, she has encouraged me to think outside of the box and do things differently than what I was taught to allow me to treat patients to the best of my ability.”
