Oregon Tech was ranked among the best schools in the nation in Forbes’ annual list of Top Colleges. The rankings list 500 schools – the top 20% of all four-year and graduate universities in the nation – with Oregon Tech listed at No. 393 overall and No. 186 in Public Colleges.
According to Forbes, the annual list showcases 500 schools that produce successful, high-earning and influential graduates from all economic backgrounds, with less student debt.
Oregon’s Regional Universities Build Strategic International Partnership in Taiwan
KAOHSIUNG, Taiwan — The presidents of Oregon’s public polytechnic and regional universities (TRUs) – Western Oregon University, Southern Oregon University, Eastern Oregon University, and Oregon Institute of Technology – signed a memorandum of understanding on Aug. 15 with Wenzao University in Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
The MOU aims to foster teacher-student exchanges, student mobility programs, joint research initiatives and Chinese language programs, all with the goal of cultivating international and cross-disciplinary talent.

Oregon Tech’s Online Learning campus is expanding its offerings with 12 new certificates.
The expansion is in response to growing demand in three focus areas: writing; social, culture, and ethics; and business and technology.
Oregon Tech’s Dean of Online Learning and Global Engagement Ruth Claire Black, Ed.D., explained that demand for online certificates is increasing nationwide with strong enrollment increases among young students and individuals in career transition and those seeking career advancement.
