Loree Hyde is the new Director of the Portland-Metro Campus Library at Oregon Tech. She holds a master’s degree in library and information sciences and brings extensive experience in academic and health sciences librarianship. Her background includes instruction, research support, and electronic resources management. Portland-Metro was Loree’s first professional position as a newly minted librarian, and she is excited to return to a vibrant campus with an active student community. She also serves as Oregon Tech’s point person for open educational resources (OER) and is an advocate for open education, committed to
advancing access and affordability for students.
Originally from a small town in Eastern Washington, Loree enjoys living in Portland and spending her free time gardening, cooking, traveling, boating, and seeing live music.
