My extracurricular activities have always played a significant role in shaping my character and allowing me to pursue my passions. One of the most prominent activities in my life has been playing on the Men's basketball team. Being part of a team is not just about the game itself but also, discipline, and personal growth. Beyond the court, my extracurricular activities have also afforded me the opportunity to enjoy quality time with friends and family. In the fast-paced world we live in, it can be easy to lose touch with loved ones. However, participating in basketball has given me a reason to connect with friends and family regularly. Whether it's cheering on my teammates from the stands, having post-game dinners with loved ones, or simply shooting hoops at the local park, these moments have strengthened my relationships and provided cherished memories. Additionally, my involvement in basketball extends beyond just playing the sport. I've also taken on the role of helping to train younger players. This has been an incredibly rewarding experience. Teaching the fundamentals of the game to the next generation of athletes and watching them develop their skills and confidence has been fulfilling. To support my college education, particularly during the summer months, I roll up my sleeves and work diligently for the Bend Post Office, delivering mail with dedication and perseverance. I chose to attend Oregon Tech for a combination of compelling reasons that made it the perfect fit for me. Firstly, the amazing coaching staff and dedicated fans' support for the athletic programs were a significant draw. I had always been passionate about sports and wanted to continue playing at the collegiate level. The coaching staff's reputation for nurturing talent and the enthusiastic fan base provided the ideal environment for me to thrive athletically. Additionally, Oregon Tech's outstanding business program was another pivotal factor in my decision. My Greatest Learning Experience At Oregon Tech
Taking a public speaking class at Oregon Tech has undoubtedly been my best academic learning experience for several compelling reasons. Additionally, this class challenged me to step out of my comfort zone and conquer my fear of public speaking, which has significantly boosted my self-confidence. My Plans After Graduation
My degree holds the key to a dream I've long nurtured: opening a gym in my hometown of Redmond. This gym will serve as a hub for athletes, offering specialized training in both basketball and strength and conditioning. I envision creating a space where individuals, especially young athletes, can hone their skills and build their physical strength, ultimately empowering them to achieve their goals.
