Oregon Tech is located just East of the Cascade Mountains in South Central Oregon. From the North, it takes about five hours to drive to Klamath Falls from Portland, and just over three hours from Eugene. From the South, it takes about five hours to drive from Reno, and less than three hours from Redding, California.
Oregon Tech's emphasis on sustainability is a long-held tradition. Home to the nation's first undergraduate program in Renewable Energy Engineering, we're busy becoming the first geothermally-powered university. Since the 1960's, geothermal resources have heated the main campus situated between Klamath Lake and the foothills of the Cascade Mountains. It's a beautiful and environmentally-rich setting for some of the Northwest's newest educational facilities utilizing green-building practices.
Finding the right college fit is a process which can be greatly helped by a campus visit. We encourage you to visit Oregon Institute of Technology to get a feel for the campus atmosphere and its wonderful amenities.
We offer personalized, guided walking tours of campus led by a Tech Ambassador, which offer viewing a residence hall room, campus housing and dining information, meeting with an admissions or financial aid counselor, learning about academic programs from faculty members, and even sitting in on a college class. Tours are available Monday through Friday at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. If you wish to schedule a separate housing and dining tour, please visit University Housing and Dining Services for information about this option and to make a special tour request.
