Types of Gifts

Legacy Giving

Make Oregon Tech part of your long-term financial planning and leave a legacy that will make an impact for generations of students to come. Legacy gifts include charitable gift annuities, IRA rollover gifts, charitable trusts, bequests, noncash assets, and income producing gifts.

In estate plans, many donors choose to leave 10-15% to charity. Oregon Tech has partnered with Freewill to make estate planning easy for those in our community by offering a free, online service to create a will to ensure you have a plan in place for your assets. Get started with Freewill at www.freewill.com/oit.

Gift of Securities

Donating stock is another common way to contribute and will allow you to tax shelter gains on earnings. When stock is donated it is liquidated immediately to preserve value. The proceeds, minus any broker fees and/or commissions, are then allocated according to the donor’s wishes.

To make a stock gift to the Oregon Tech Foundation, please share the following information with your financial adviser:

Firm: D.A. Davidson & Co., DTC #0361
Account Name: Oregon Tech Foundation
Account Number: 60016423

When making a gift of stock, please send a note as to where you would like your contribution to be directed.
