Kanth Gopalpur is a serial entrepreneur and angel investor who has been involved in Oregon's entrepreneurial ecosystem for more than 25 years. He helped found Powell's original online bookstore in 1995 and later founded and led software company Monsoon Works as CEO until its sale in 2010. He is now principal of Kestrel Advisors.
Gopalpur currently chairs the Business Oregon Commission and co-chairs the Oregon Futures Commission. He also serves on the boards of Poached Jobs and the James Beard Public Market and previously served as Entrepreneur in Residence for Business Oregon. He lives in Portland.
